Size: 266 x 133 cm

Condition: Fair for age. Some areas of wear and fold-wear. Tatty side selvages and ends. Loss to one corner.

Notes: This rug features three of the famed Lenkoran large horned medallions, which are derived from the old 'dragon rugs' of the 16th and 17th centuries. These medallions are surrounded by a field full of tribal motifs and highly stylized animals, and the main border is an unusual one containing large hooked stars. Soft colours (both natural and analine). This rug is dated 1333 (1914, Christian calendar), making it 100 years old.
