426. Provenance: Daghestan, The Caucasus or possibly Kurdish, Persian Azerbaijan

Size: 129 x 50 cm

Age: Circa 1910-20

Condition: Very good.

Notes:  A lovely saddle-bag with the 'flower-in-vase' repeat motif of Daghestan. It's possibly that this is a Caucasian-inspired Kurdish tribal weaving from accross the border in Northwest Persia. Either way, it's a beauty, with soft colours and lustrous wool.
