117. Provenance: Afshar, Southern Persia

Size:144 x 112cm

Age: Circa 1880

Condition: Overall wear, with one fairly large repair, and one smaller one.

Notes: Lovely natural dyes. Two Afshar medallions surrounded by tribal motifs, including ‘botehs’ (teardrop shape classic motifs). The border is exceptionally nice. Despite the condition this is a collectable beauty. Materials: Wool pile on wool foundation.
