658. Provenance: Yomut tribe, Turkoman group of tribes, Turkmenistan

Size:  325 x 200 cm

Age: Circa 1890

Condition: Very good for age, with very minor patches of wear to front and back.

Notes:  An absolutely classic Yomut main carpet, with an allover repeat of their serated drynak main gul. Soft (faded somewhat with age) natural colours, and a very tight, even weave. Lovely border and elems (decorated end panels). A majesterial tribal main carpet.
