537. Provenance: Kurdish tribal, Northwest Persia or quite possible Kurd/Baluch or NE Persia

Size: 100 x 70 cm

Age: Circa 1900

Condition: The main field and pile is good, but there is damage to the sides and ends.

Notes: Lovely tribal simpilicity of repeat diamond motifs typical of the Kurds, but the colours are more reminiscent of the Baluch of Khorrosan in the NE. Wool on wool with natural dyes, madder and indigo.
