Age: Circa 1920

Size: 149 x 90 cm

Condition: Good condition for age, with just areas of lower pile.

Notes: All the hallmarks of such Baluch tribal rugs. A limited colour palette that indicates the lack of access to sophisticated (imported) dyestuffs. Madder, walnut etc would have been used in the dyes. The main field motif is a fairly regimented rendition of the tree of life. All wool construction.
