624. Provenance: Heriz, northwest Persia

Size: 340 x 260 cm

Age: Circa 1910

Condition: Areas of heavier wear. Minor loss at ends. Sides need tidying (an easy fix).

Notes:  A classic Heriz from the early years of last century. The colours are absolutely suberb natural dyes, with vibrant light indigos and a stunning light greetn. Though not finely woven these Herizes are very well made and are super tough. Interior designer love these carpets, but in a rare moment of agreement, so do rug connoisseurs.
