Age: Circa 1930

Condition: Largely good, with minor low pile.

Notes: A lovely northwestern Persian (bordering with modern day Azerbaijan) runner, in the design typical of the Shirvan/Baku region across that border, although here woven on a cotton foundation as opposed to the woolen foundation that would have been used in Azerbaijan. Strong primary colours and a vigorous tribal drawing.
