373. Provenance: Bachitari tribal, Southwest Persia

Age: circa 1900

Condition: For the most part, very good. One area of slightly lower pile.

Notes: A very special Bachtiari, with a simple, well-spaced floral design. These arid mountain pastoral nomads nearly always weave 'garden' pieces - perhaps as a counterbalance to their harsh natural environment. All natural dyes, on glossy hand-spun wool.
