305. Provenance: Ersari tribe, Turkoman, Northern Afghanistan

Age: Circa 1930

Size: 313 x 255 cm

Condition: Good. Overall low pile, and minor damage to the kilim ends.

Notes: Classic Ersari 'elephant gul' design, in unusual shades. The brown has less red in it than is usual with Ersaris, the indigo is vibrant and particularly surprising is the seldom-used green in the details.
