242. Provenance: Qashqa'i (?), Central Persia

Size: 198 x 128 cm

Age: Circa 1980

Condition: Excellent with full pile.

Notes: A dramatic and deeply tribal rug in terms of both design and colour choice. Strong shades of largely natural dyes, together with the extensive use of un-dyed camel wool. Not an old rug, but one which shows that tribal weaving is alive and kicking.
