837. Provenance: Tabriz, Azerbaijan, Northwest Persia

Size: 370 x 270 cm

Age: Circa 1920

Condition: Overall low pile and areas of wear.

Notes: Despite wear this is a dramatic and commanding main Persian carpet. Although not finely woven these Heriz use heavy cotton foundations which make for rugged and durable rugs. They also tend to use excellent natural dyes, and this is no exception.
