Age: Circa 1940

Condition: Very good, with just one area of lower pile.

Notes: An elegant and classic Afghan Ersari, with an all over repeat of the so called 'elephant foot' gul. The devil is in the details with these Afghans, and this one ticks all the right boxes - glossy wool, even weave, sympathetic, rich colouring, subtle palette.
