647. a tantalizing antique Borujerd Persian runner
647. Provenance: Borujerd (Brojerd), Northwest Persia

Notes: A really glorious array of natural and vibrant dyes in this stunning runner - showpiecing the master dyer's skills at their very best. Rugs from Borujerd have long been well-respected for their high quality colours as well as their strong stucture and durability. Indeed, when the Anglo-Swiss carpet company established operations in Sultanabad in 1883 they quickly sourced supplies of dyes and wools from nearby Borujerd - a testament to that long-standing reputation.
