Age: Circa 1880

Size: 278 x 364cm

Condition: Generally good for its age. However there is some more serious wear to both the back and front of the rug in one corner (though the front damage is well-concealed by tinting), so gentle use is recommended in that area. The price reflects the condition. Without this damage I would be selling at around the $2500 mark.

Notes: Absolutely stunning in colours and design. The floral pattern is not busy but well-spaced, consistent with its considerable antiquity. The colours are wonderfully strong and all natural.
