799. Provenance: Kazak area, northern Armenia, The Caucasus

Size: 210x 110 cm

Age: circa 1900

Condition: Comensurate with high age. The field is largely good with just overall low pile and spots of minor wear. The corners and sides have some damage (please look at photo closely). These can be secured/repaired at cost.

Notes: A truly wonderful piece whose child-like, playful design is complimented by the use of wonderful and vibrant dyes. Featuring not only a plethora of stylized flowers and plants, there is also an abundance of birds, deer (or goats?), and other tribal symbols. Despite the condition, this piece is emminently collectible.
