735. Provenance: Tekke Turkoman tribe, Turkmenistan

Size: 200 x 188 cm

Age: Circa 1890

Condition: Fair for age. Damage at one end, now secured and patched. Various repairs & patches in field. Low pile. The entire rug has been backed with a heavy cotton fabric to give strength and durabilty. This is an old carpet with some conditions but it is a beautiful piece nonetheless.

Notes: A beautiful Tekke rug with 40 well-spaced, interconnected guls in the field, with an elaborate and articulate wide border. A collectible piece.
