361. Provenance: Afshar tribe, Southern Persia

Age: circa 1920

Size: 190 x 145 cm approx

Condition: Good.

Notes: A delightful rug with typical Afshar colouring (the particular rose pink, and blues), but wholly atypical design. Afshars weave an extraordinary range of designs but none-the-less, at least to my knowledge, floral designs are not common. Natural dyes, and quality wool from these nomadic pastoralists' own sheep.
